National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons Calls On J’cans To Help End Deadly Trade


National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, Diahann Gordon Harrison’s appealing to Jamaicans to play their part in ending the deadly trade.

She says there’s been relatively low awareness among the general population concerning human trafficking.

Meanwhile, Mrs Gordon Harrison says following recent collaboration with the British High Commission they’ve completed an e-learning capacity building tool to arm stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Mrs Gordon Harrison says National Security Minister, Dr Horace Chang, has assumed responsibility for the country’s human trafficking efforts.

The Justice Minister had previously been responsible for the portfolio.
