The National Environment and Planning Agency, NEPA, says it’ll be conducting its own investigation into last weekend’s blaze in Riverton City.
That’s according to Senior Manager of the Agency’s Environmental Management Sub-division, Richard Nelson.
Mr. Nelson says NEPA has provided a license to one company to do work with used tires in Riverton City. But, he says preliminary investigations suggest the fire didn’t originate at that location.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nelson says NEPA is carrying out quality checks across the Corporate Area. This, in an effort to gauge the full impact of the fire on air quality.
