#NNNBlueDot Poll: Bunting Selected As Worst Performing Opposition Spokesperson, Crawford Tops Best Performing List


Defeated in the race for PNP president last September by a mere two per cent, Peter Bunting, now holds the unenviable position as the worst performing opposition spokesperson.

While Damian Crawford, the man who wanted to quit the Shadow Cabinet recently, is seen by Jamaicans as the best performing spokesperson. 

These are the findings of the Nationwide Blue Dot poll.

When asked by our pollsters “who would you consider to be the worst performing Opposition Spokesperson”, the then spokesman on Industry and Investment, Peter Bunting headed the list with 16%.

The Campaign Director of his failed Rise United Campaign for the PNP Presidency and former Opposition spokesperson on Local Government, Dr.Angela Brown Burke, came in second with 15%

In third place is Opposition Spokesman on Youth and Culture, Damian Crawford. He was identified by 11% of Jamaicans as the worst performing spokesperson.

Noel Arscott, is fourth with 9%.

Lisa Hanna, Opposition Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Dr Dayton Campbell, the former Opposition spokesman on Health both tie for fifth position as the worst performing spokespersons.

They both received 6%.

Meanwhile, when respondents were asked who they considered to be the best performing Opposition Spokesperson, Damian Crawford topped that list.

The controversial comrade was identified by 33% of Jamaicans as the best performing Spokesperson.

In second place is Peter Bunting.

Twenty-four per cent of respondents say he’s the best performing opposition spokesman.

Lisa Hanna with 7%  and Dr. Angella Brown Burke with 6%are third and fourth.

Opposition Spokesman on Finance and the Public Service, Mark Golding and former Spokesman on Health, Dr. Dayton Campbell, round out the top five.

1431 people were polled between December 2 and 19 last year.
It had a margin of error of just under 3-percent.
