No Suspected Links Between Baby Stealing Incidents and Human Trafficking

12

The Police are seeking to dismiss fears that babies are being stolen to facilitate a human trafficking ring.

Some persons have raised concerns, as the newborn involved in yesterday’s incident was the second baby to be abducted within a week.

On Friday, a three week old was abducted at the Cornwall Regional Hospital after the baby’s mother asked a woman who befriended her to watch the infant.

Head of the Constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, Dahlia Garrick, says investigators haven’t unearthed any link between these cases of abduction and human trafficking.
