NSWMA Boss Confirms Delays in Garbage Corporate Area Collection

Executive Director of the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA, Audley Gordon, says garbage collection in the Corporate Area is at an acceptable level.

He admits some residents are being affected by recent delays in garbage collection.

The communities affected include Mavis Bank, sections of Washington Gardens, Cooreville and Duhaney Park.

He says they’ll be using tipper trucks to remove the garbage in the affected communities. Mr Gordon says garbage collection is further hindered by illicit dumping in the Corporate Area.

He’s also appealing to residents to properly package and dispose of their garbage to prevent any rodent infestation.
