NWC Eases Corporate Area Water Restrictions

National Water Commission (NWC) Regional Manager for Kingston and St Andrew, Dr Phillipa Campbell-Francis, says the supply of water has resumed in sections of the Corporate Area.

Dr Campbell Francis says the lock-offs last evening were the result of a disruption in the power supply which she says has since been addressed by the Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS.

Among those reportedly affected were staff at the Ministry of Education’s Heroes Circle headquarters.

They were sent home early due to the lack of water.

It’s understood the Education Ministry building was without water for most of the day resulting in hygiene and sanitary concerns.
