The National Water Commission says it’s still mulling over a delay order issued by the Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, concerning its early payment initiative.
Under the initiative, customers who settle their bills on or before the due date will receive a $250 credit, while those who pay late will be hit with a $250 penalty.
The OUR requested last week that the NWC delay the implementation of the initiative with immediate effect.
This as it has not yet granted approval for the introduction of the measure.
Public Relations Manager at the NWC, Charles Buchanan, says the Commission is yet to make a decision on the OUR’s request.
