NWC Says Customers Still Face Restrictions

Corporate Communications Manager at the National Water Commission, NWC, Charles Buchanan says despite increased storage levels at the two main water catchment facilities in Kingston and St Andrew, Corporate Area residents are still subject to restrictions.

He says the water levels at both the Mona Reservoir and the Hermitage Dam are less this month than they were for the corresponding period last year.

As a result, Mr. Buchanan says water restrictions announced last month are still in effect until further notice.

And, he says residents affected by recent water lock-offs should have water in their pipes by later this afternoon.

Charles Buchanan, Corporate Communications Manager at the NWC, speaking this afternoon with Nationwide News.
