Murder accused, Omar Best Collymore, is in Police custody.

He was arrested at a Guest House in St. Elizabeth last night.

On Tuesday the Police had announced that Collymore is a wanted man.

Meanwhile, Corporate Area Attorney, Christopher Townsend says he’s no longer representing Collymore.

On Tuesday, Mr. Townsend had said that he had discussions with Collymore and arrangements were made for Collymore to report to the Police that same day. But it’s understood that Collymore violated the agreement.

Mr. Townsend told our news center today that he’s no longer representing Collymore.

The Attorney said he’s not immediately clear about whether Collymore had reported to the Police.

Omar Collymore is accused of hiring contract killers to murder his wife, Simone Campbell-Collymore. Mrs. Campbell-Collymore was gunned down on January 2.

Two other men are in custody in connection with the crime. Statements have been given to the police which allege that Collymore paid $500,000 to contract killers to have his wife murdered.

Investigators are theorizing that he killed his wife in pursuit of life insurance proceeds. Collymore has two children with Simone.
