Ombudsman Confirms Reports of Voter Intimidation

Political Ombudsman, Donna Parchment Brown, is confirming that’s she’s received reports of threats of voter intimidation in at least three communities on the weekend.

Mrs. Parchment Brown says reports of threats of vote suppression have been received from – Central Kingston, Manchioneal in Portland and Newlands in Portmore St. Catherine.

On the weekend, the PNP alleged that persons in Newlands were being threatened not to vote for the party’s candidate.

Mrs. Parchment Brown says there are no reports today so far of voter intimidation.
