Opposition Wants Clarity on Who GOJ Recognizes as Venezuelan President

Opposition Senate Leader, Donna Scott Mottley is urging the Government of Jamaica to indicate who it recognizes as the President of Venezuela.

Senator Scott Mottley said the Opposition understands the circumstances in which Foreign Affairs Minister, Kamina Johnson Smith, on Friday delayed her statement to parliament about Venezuela.

Senator Scott Mottley says it’s important that Jamaica indicates whether it joins the United States in recognizing Juan Guaido as the interim President of Venezuela.
