Opposition Welcomes Hospital Board Resignations

143

Opposition Spokesperson on Health, Senator Marlene Malahoo Forte, has welcomed the resignation of the boards of the University Hospital of the West Indies and the Western Regional Health Authority.

This as the fallout from the dead babies scandal continues.

The new board appointments were announced at 4:47am, in a statement sent to media houses by the Office of the Prime Minister.

Senator Malahoo-Forte insists that, while the resignations are welcome, there is still much work to do in reforming the public health system

Senator Malahoo Forte says more resignations are necessary for the public to again have confidence in the persons holding leadership positions at various levels in the health sector.
