Over 250,000 Workers Benefit from New Tax Threshold


Finance Minister, Audley Shaw, says the Government will protect the most vulnerable when it implements phase two of the income tax break plan at the beginning of the next fiscal year.

Mr. Shaw told the House of Representatives this afternoon that over 2-hundred-and-50-thousand persons benefited from phase one of the initiative.

He’s urging Jamaicans to use their savings from the tax break wisely and increase productivity.

Minister Shaw says the Government is sending a signal that tax reform is intended to be ultimately beneficial to the people.
