Nationwide News can confirm that prominent attorney Patrick Bailey has been arrested and charged for fraud.
Attorneys for Mr. Baiiley have confirmed that he’s been charged by Police at the fraud squad on Duke Street in Downtown Kingston.
Information received is that on September 15, 2007 a report was made to the Police that Mr. Bailey was asked to act on behalf of a client in a property transaction.
The property valued the sum of twenty-five million Jamaican dollars ($25,000,000) was however allegedly transferred to another person without the owner’s knowledge and consent. As a result, the Police commenced investigations.
Mr. Bailey was subsequently arrested and charged on Monday, March 30. He was bailed with surety in the sum of one million Jamaican dollars ($25,000,000) and is to appear before the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate Court on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
