The pending fare increase for the Jamaica Urban Transit Company’s premium express service has been pushed back.
In a statement to the media, JUTC’s Managing Director Paul Abraham says the fare increase has been pushed backed to March next year pending a review.
The increase was to take effect in January.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abrahams is advising commuters that effective January 15, the Company will be reintroducing the mandatory use of Smartercard on its premium service.
He says this means no cash will be taken from passengers.
