Opposition Spokesman on Transport, Mikhael Phillips, is calling on the government to urgently re-table in Parliament the amendments to the Road Traffic Act in response to the recent carnage on the roads.
The bill proposes significant increases in fines for various road offences.
The former PNP-administration had tabled the bill in the House of Representatives prior to the February 25 General Election.
Mr. Phillips says the Government should not delay any longer in having the bill debated.
The Opposition Spokesman is urging motorists to exercise more discipline on the nation’s streets.
