Phipps, Knight Concerned over Fraud Charged Attorneys


Two of Jamaica’s most respected legal practitioners are this afternoon expressing unease at news that at least nine attorneys been have hit with fraud charges in the past nine weeks.

Four of the country’s most well known lawyers are among those charged in the spate of recent arrests rocking the fraternity.

The latest incident came today when noted attorney, Don Foote, was jailed for failing to turn over money that he won on behalf of a client in a civil suit.
