PJ Endorses Golding to Succeed Davies in South St Andrew


Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson has endorsed Senator Mark Golding in the high profile race to succeed Dr. Omar Davies as South St. Andrew MP.

Patterson’s endorsement comes days before 78 delegates are to decide between Golding and former PNP General Secretary, Colin Campbell.

Mr. Patterson spoke to our news center today, hours after he delivered his endorsement of Senator Golding last night during an event at the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Andrew.

Mr. Patterson says Senator Golding is deserving and has served Jamaica admirably.

Voting in the Golding/Campbell contest is expected to get underway this Saturday afternoon at 4.

PNP Region 3 Chairman, Phillip Paulwell and party Vice President Angela Brown Burke have endorsed Campbell.

Other PNP bigwigs including, Ronald Thwaites, Lisa Hanna, Peter Bunting, Damion Crawford and Morais Guy and Dr. Davies have endorsed Senator Golding.
