PNP Activist, Karen Cross, to Face JP Suspension

Well known PNP activist, Karen Cross is to be suspended from being a Justice of the Peace, JP.

Miss Cross was arrested and charged yesterday for stealing electricity.

Regulations which govern the supervision of Justices of the Peace state that a Justice of the Peace who has a criminal charge should have their status as a JP revoked by the Custos.

A review of Miss Cross’ status as a JP is to be carried out after the completion of the case.

Investigators reportedly discovered an alleged illegal connection which led to a property owned by Miss Cross in the community of Drewsland in West Central St. Andrew.

The connection was reportedly hidden several feet underground. Yesterday – Miss Cross confirmed that she was charged for stealing electricity.

PNP Councilor for the Seaview Gardens Division in West St. Andrew, Hazel Anderson, was also charged yesterday for stealing electricity.
