PNP Ready For General Election: Robinson

People’s National Party General Secretary, Julian Robinson says the party stands ready should Prime Minister Andrew Holness call a general election this year.

The next general election is constitutionally due no later than February next year.

Mr. Robinson says the PNP is ramping up efforts around its campaign and messaging.

He says the party is targeting special constituencies, especially those it’s lost to the governing Jamaica Labour Party.

Julian Robinson, General Secretary of the Opposition People’s National Party, speaking this afternoon with Nationwide News.

The party lost the constituencies of East Portland and South East St Mary, to the JLP in by elections in 2017 and last year.

The JLP now have 34 seats to the PNP’s 29 in the House of Representatives.
