‘PNP Will Pay for Tough Economic Policies’ – Holness

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness says the governing People’s National Party will pay the price for pursuing policies which have unfairly punished Jamaicans.

Mr. Holness says the JLP is readying itself for the calling of a General Election.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller said the Andrew Holness-led JLP is running scared that she’s about to call a General Election.

But Andrew Holness says the JLP is calm and ready.

Mr. Holness says the Simpson Miller-administration must know that it will face an electorate which has been unfairly burdened and are fed up.

Holness says the policies of the PNP have been counter productive and show contempt for interest of the poor.

The JLP leader says when he returns to office his party will get work to grow the country’s economy and restore belief in the Jamaican dream.
