A seven member jury on Wednesday found Police Constable, Ricketo Graham, guilty of the 2013 murder of Christopher Hill.
The verdict is the second murder conviction of a policeman secured by the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM.
Reports are that Constable Graham shot Mr. Hill, who died at the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital in July, 2013.
INDECOM had arrested and charged Constable Graham with attempting to pervert the course of justice, and murder. Justice Glen Brown yesterday revoked his bail.
Reports are that on the day in question, the police accosted Mr. Hill and took him to the Brown’s Town Police Station.
He was processed and subsequently taken to Wesley Crescent where he was shot. Constable Graham is to be sentenced in the Home Circuit Court on July 14.
The Police had alleged that Mr. Hill was shot and injured by Constable Ricketo Graham. Constable Graham alleged that Mr. Hill attacked him and his colleague with a knife.
However the Jury did not find favor with his version of events. The Constable was charged following a ruling from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
