Police Federation Issues 30-Day Timeline to Settle 40hr Work Week

The Chairman of the Jamaica Police Federation has given the government 30 days to resolve the long-standing issue of implementing a 40-hour work week for members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Sergeant Raymond Wilson issued the ultimatum today to National Security Minister, Robert Montague, at the 74th Annual Joint Central Conferences of the Federation.

According to Sergeant Wilson, negotiations for a 40-hour work week have dragged on for too long.

Sergeant Wilson says the rights of the men and women of the Constabulary Force should be recognized.
