Police Seek Help to ID Burnt Body

The Area One Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the burnt remains of a man who was found in Westmoreland two weeks ago.

The burnt remains were found in a silver Nissan Urvan minibus in Ashton district in the parish.

Reports are that about 10am, the Police were alerted to the burnt minibus with two men inside.

The vehicle was searched and the remains of 27-year-old Mofolumeso Adunfa, otherwise called ‘Chris’, of Rochester Avenue, Kingston 8 and a man known only as ‘Abdul’, were removed to the morgue.

The Police say ‘Abdul’ is believed to be of Nigerian nationality.

Commander for the Police Area One, Assistant Commissioner Winchroy Budhoo says the men were believed to be involved in illegal activity.

Anyone with information that can assist the Police is being asked to contact the Area 1 Division at 954-3222, the Bethel Town Police at 957-1658, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police station.
