Portmore United To Tackle Molynes United In Red Stripe Premier League


Two-time defending champions, Portmore United, will start the defense of their title when they take on newcomers Molynes United in the Red Stripe Premier League.

The match is set for the Anthony Spaulding Complex this evening at 8:30.

General manager of Portmore, Clive Marshall, says being the defending champions comes with a lot of pressure, but his players are experienced enough to handle it.

Portmore will be guided by former Reggae Boy, Ricardo “Bibi” Gardner this season.

Gardner took over from Shavar Thomas at the end of last season.

Marshall says Gardner’s transition will be smooth.

In yesterday’s results, UWI blanked Tivoli Gardens 4-nil.

Humble Lion beat Arnett Gardens 3-1.

Cavaliar beat Dunbeholden- 3-1

And Harbour View beat Mount Pleasant 2-1.
