Portmore Utd Clinches Premier League Crown with Games to Spare

Portmore United have been crowned Champions of the League Format despite three rounds remaining before the playoffs of the Red Stripe Premier League.

Portmore earned the title following yesterday’s 2-nil win over Reno, at the Prison Oval Field.

The win pushed them to 62-points atop the standings, 14-points clear of second place Arnett Gardens. Damono Salomon and Venton Evans were the goal scorers.

Meanwhile, Montego Bay United came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with 10-man Arnett, at Wespow Park.
In the Other Results, Harbour View beat UWI 1-nil.

Humble Lion blanked Sandals South Coast 3-nil.

And Waterhouse edged Tivoli 1-nil.

In the meantime, Cavalier and Boys Town are set to lock horns in the Monday night encounter, at the Stadium East field.
