Prepare For Local Gov’t Elections Next Year: McKenzie Tells Party Council Meeting

Portfolio Minister and JLP Deputy Leader, Desmond McKenzie, has told the party’s area councils to get ready for Local Government elections next year.
Mr. McKenzie was addressing a meeting of the influential JLP Area Council 1 on Sunday.

The Local Government Minister, who’s duty it is to announce the calling of parish council elections, says party supporters should get ready.

Mr. McKenzie also called on supporters to intensify the enumeration process.

The Local Government Minister argued that significant strides have been made in the portfolio – including the empowerment of councilors to better assist the people.

But, he says much more work is left to be done.

The JLP Deputy Leader ended his address to the Party’s Area Council 1 by commenting that good things will happen next year.
