Prime Minister Admits Corruption at PetroJam

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has admitted that there is corruption at the state-owned oil refinery Petrojam.

Prime Minister Holness met with members of staff of Petrojam, earlier today, amid controversy surrounding the company.

Mr Holness is assuring staff members that he’ll thoroughly probe any hint of political victimization at the entity.

He says the recent controversy surrounding Petrojam, has affected its brand. Mr. Holness says that is why the strategic review he’s ordered, is important.

The Prime Minister took over the Energy portfolio and agencies like Petrojam, which falls under that Ministry, after former Minister Dr. Andrew Wheatly was removed from the post.

The Prime Minister says Petrojam will be top among his priorities in the coming months.

Prime Minister Holness says the government will use Petrojam as an example of the transformation of all other state entities.
