QWI Investments this morning became the fifth company to list on the main market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
The company raised $1.1-billion in its Initial Public Offer, just two weeks ago.
JSE Managing Director, Marlene Street Forrest, says the listing brings the total value of the companies listed on the JSE to over $2-trillion.
According to Mrs. Street Forrest, QWI will now be included on the JSE’s financial index.
Meanwhile, QWI Chairman, John Jackson, is urging the government to push financial literacy in the education curriculum.
