A man was killed yesterday in the corporate area following a confrontation with the police.
Dead is 33-year-old Richard Bowla, otherwise called ‘Rambo’. Bowla was killed on Payne Avenue, Kingston 11.
Following the shooting, the police recovered a Hewan 9-millimetre semi-automatic pistol, with a magazine containing two 9-millimetre rounds of ammunition.
The matter has been reported to the Inspectorate of Constabulary and the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM.
Bowla is the second man killed yesterday during a confrontation with the police.
A man believed to be one of the top tier members of the St. Catherine-based Clansman gang was also killed yesterday on Jones Avenue in Spanish Town.
He’s 30- year-old Damaine Doyle, otherwise called ‘Frazzle’.
