Recent Rainfall Has Improved Water Supply At Local Reservoirs

The National Water Commission says it’s major water reservoirs in the Corporate area continue to register upward movements in water levels due to the recent period of rains.

According to information on its website, the Mona Reservoir is currently at 30% of its total capacity. That’s up from 27% on May 14.

The Hermitage Dam has also registered improvements moving from 33% of capacity on May 14 to 46% today.

The Met Service of Jamaica is forecasting rains to continue to affect the island through to Sunday as a trough remains across the island.
