Reggae Boyz Bounce Back to Defeat Cayman 4-0


The Reggae Boyz quickly shook off Friday’s 2-nil loss to Ecuador with a 4-nil whipping of the Cayman Islands in the CONCACAF Nations League at the National Stadium, last night.

Darren Mattocks wasted no time in putting the Jamaicans in front – scoring in the second minute of the first half.

Cory Burke doubled Jamaica’s lead in minute 35.

Mattocks got his second goal of the night and Jamaica’s third in the 58th minute.

Burk completed the victory when he scored in his second goal in the 66th minute.

Assistant coach of the Reggae Boyz, Jerome Waite, says the Caymanians didn’t offer much of a challenge.

Meanwhile, captain of the Cayman Islands, Ramon Sealy, says they were undone from the first goal.

In other results, Dominican Republic blanked Bonaire 5-nil. Canada hammered the US Virgin Islands 8-nil.

Aruba beat Bermuda 3-1. And St. Kitts and Nevis edged Puerto Rico 1-nil.
