Jamaica’s Hue Menzie walked away with the CONCACAF Coach of The Year award, today.
He beat out USA’s Jill Ellis and Mexico’s under-17s coach Monica Vergara for the top award.
Menzie guided the Reggae Girlz to the 2019 World Cup in France. He says the award is a reflection of the team’s hard work.
Meanwhile, Khadija Shaw was voted runner-up for the female footballer of the year award. She was beaten by Alex Morgan of the USA.
Morgan was winning her third straight title and fourth overall. Shaw also finished third in the contest for the goal of the year award.
The Reggae Girlz received the most outstanding performance award. Shaw and Jody Brown were named to the CONCACAF-XI.
