Remaining Cross Roads Escapees Back in Custody

The police have captured the two remaining men who escaped from their Cross Roads lock up two weeks ago.

The last remaining escapee turned himself into custody yesterday.

On June 20, four men reportedly escaped from the lock-up by cutting their way through a metal grille.

Two of the men were captured in Olympic Gardens the night they escaped.

They’re 21-year-old Rohan Brown, who was charged with robbery, and 23-year-old Richard Walker, who was charged with rape and buggery.

The other two escapees were 19-year-old Eustace Powell, who was charged with rape and buggery, and 29-year-old Sanjay Burton.

Burton is otherwise called ‘Christopher Peart’ or ‘Michael’.

He was in custody on fraud related offences.

Powell was held on Orange Street in Kingston, last Monday, while Burton was turned in to the Kingston Central police by a Justice of the Peace yesterday.

In a statement today, the police are lauding community members for working with them in the recapture of all four escapees.
