The reputed leader of the ‘One Voice’ gang which operates in sections of Hanover was killed during a confrontation with the Police over the weekend.
He’s 21-year-old Omario Burrell otherwise called Duplex.
Burrell was fatally shot in Mount Pleasant in the parish about 9:30 Friday night.
Head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communication’s Unit, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay provided an update to our news centre yesterday.
Superintendent Lindsay says the police are now searching for at least two other men who were reportedly at the scene and fired at the police.
Meanwhile, she says Burrell was also being probed as a suspect in several killings in Williamsfield, Hanover last month.
In that incident thirty-four -year-old Hopeton Lee, five-year-old Kimani Johnson and one-year-old Daquan Davidson were shot and killed.
