Residential customers of the Jamaica Public Service, JPS, will benefit marginally from an adjustment to the electricity billing rates approved by Office of Utilities Regulations, OUR.
The OUR says the amendment is due to errors in data it received from the company in its tariff submission.
This data is used by the OUR in its rate review process.
The amendments took effect on March 1, 2015.
And, the JPS says it will repay residential customers for overcharging them due to the error.
