Robertson Pleads for Farmers

The MP for Western St. Thomas, James Robertson, says the farmers in his constituency whose crops were destroyed in a recent massive bush fire, cannot wait until the ongoing drought breaks to get the promised assistance from the government to replant their fields.

Mr. Robertson was reacting to comments from the CEO of the Rural Agricultural Development Authority, RADA, Lenworth Fulton, that the drought has prevented the Agriculture Ministry from following through on its promise to provide immediate assistance.
