There is more pressure this afternoon, for Industry Minister Anthony Hylton, to be relived of his position over his handing of the controversial proposal by Krauck Systems and Anchor Finance, to invest USD$5-billion in Jamaica’s logistics hub.
Co-convenor of the lobby group, Citizen’s Action for Principles and Integrity, Dennis Meadows, is calling on the Prime Minister, to muster up some political will and fire Minister Hylton or she risks ruining her legacy.
Yesterday Minister Hylton told parliament that for the second consecutive time, the National Logistics Hub Council and Cabinet were not satisfied with information provided by Krauck and Anchor.
It is for this reason, that Mr. Meadows has labelled Minister Hylton as ‘incompetent.’
He says a failure by the Prime Minister to act decisively in holding her Hylton and other Ministers accountable reduces the country’s imagery and gives supremacy to incompetence and under-performance.
Mr. Meadows says the Prime Minister must act decisively to restore the country’s waning credibility by getting rid of Minister Hylton.
