Three officials who were recently fired from the Firearms Licensing Authority, FLA, say they’ll be suing the government for unfair dismissal.
Michael Dixon, Milton Reid and Andrew Gordon have retained prominent law firm Knight, Junor and Samuels to argue their case.
John Junor is a senior partner in the law firm.
Mr. Junor says the former FLA employees are also examining the possibility of taking out lawsuits.
This in relation to statements allegedly made about them in the media.
FLA CEO Shane Dalling has said the men were dismissed and compensated for three months pay according to the provisions in their contracts.
The dismissal letter given recently to Dixon, Reid and Gordon did not state a reason they were fired.
Mr. Dalling says the contracts which the men had signed do not require a reason to be given for their termination.
It’s understood that two of the three dismissed FLA employees have signed separation agreements.
