Samuda Blasts PNP for MOCA Criticism

The Young Professional Arm of the governing JLP, G2K, is calling on Kingston’s Mayor, Angela Brown Burke, and the PNP caucus of Councilors to apologize for accusing the Police of playing politics in their probe of various parish councils.

G2K President, Senator Matthew Samuda, says the accusation is a slap in the face of the Constabulary Force and MOCA which is supported by Jamaica’s international partners.

Senator Samuda says Mayor Brown Burke should instead encourage all the PNP-controlled Parish Councils to cooperate with law enforcement.

Senator Samuda says the statement from the PNP caucus of Councilors sends a regrettable signal that there may be support for institutionalized corruption within the PNP.
