Scorpions Snap Losing Streak with Victory Over Volcanoes


The Jamaica Scorpions ended their losing streak by defeating the Windward Islands Volcanoes in the regional four-day cricket competition.

Set 211 to win, the Jamaica Scorpions, led by Chadwick Walton’s 79 in their second innings, reached the target with a ball to spare in the 75th over.

Walton was well supported by Brandon King 56.

Earlier, the Volcanoes were bowled out for 198 in their second innings.

Kaven Hodge made 52, while Devon Smith contributed 47.

Final scores, Windward Islands Volcanoes 285 and 198 and Jamaica Scorpions 272 and 212.

Meanwhile, Barbados Pride 215 and 58 for 3 beat Trinidad and Tobago Red Force 170 and 103 by 7-wickets at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
