Security Forces Promise to Engage Media during Special Zones Operations

The police and military say they’ll be engaging the media once a Zone of Special Operation is declared in an attempt to promote transparency and accountability.

Civil military cooperation and media affairs officer for the JDF, Major Basil Jarrett says media are a major agent of social change that will help to provide balanced information to the public.

Meanwhile, Head the JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says media centres will be set up inside the special zones to provide accurate and timely information to the public.
