October is being commemorated worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Senator Longmore recovered from cancer following a diagnosis last year.
The Government Senator urged all Jamaicans to recognize that early detection is key in the cancer fight.
In the meantime, Opposition Senator, Dr. Andre Haughton, told the Senate this afternoon that it’s time Jamaica takes more seriously the medicinal cannabis industry and it’s ability to help fight cancer.
He commended the Health and Wellness Ministry on its breast cancer awareness efforts.
