Shields Laments Top-Heavy JCF

Former Deputy Police Commissioner Mark Shields is calling on the JCF to be run more like a Private sector organization, where persons occupying the highest ranks, are required to the necessary qualifications.

He’s taking issue with the number of persons promoted to the top rank of the organization.

He says members who are at lower ranks like superintendents and senior superintendent should be empowered to take on more responsibilities. He is encouraging members of the force to focus less on their ranks and focus more on their responsibilities.
