Caricom heads of government are now meeting in the Bahamas, at the 26th inter-sessional meeting of regional leaders.
The meeting, which ends tomorrow, will see discussion on several topics including reparations for native genocide and slavery, a regional marijuana commission, emoluments and proposed pension rules for judges of the Caribbean Court of Justice
The establishment of a common platform for information, communication and technology, ICT, across the Caribbean is also high on the agenda.
Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is leading the Jamaican delegation to the meeting which is being chaired by Bahamian Prime Minister, Perry Christie.
Water Minister Robert Pickersgill is in charge of the government until Mrs. Simpson Miller returns to the island on Saturday.
