Some Organizations Serving Homeless People Contaminated, Spoiled Food – McKenzie

Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie says some organizations and individuals who say they’re helping homeless people have actually been feeding them contaminated, spoiled and badly prepared meals.

Minister McKenzie made the declaration at the St. Ann Municipal Corporation’s Monthly General meeting, last Thursday.

He was addressing homeless issues in reference to World Homeless Day.

Asked by our news centre to elaborate, Minister McKenzie says some homeless people refuse to eat the food because it’s rotting.

Minister McKenzie says this practice is unsatisfactory.

According to the Local Government Minister, because of this behaviour, some have been banned from giving food to the homeless.

He says municipal corporations had taken steps to prevent this type of behaviour.
