Sports Minister, Olivia Grange, says she’s in shock following the murder of a well-known businessman, Brandon Murray.
In a statement this afternoon, Minister Grange commended Mr. Murray for co-founding the Sporting Central Academy.
Minister Grange also lauded Mr. Murray’s contribution to the business community.
The Sports Minister said Mr. Murray contributed to the development of football in Jamaica – first as a player, football club owner, then as the person best known for the rehabilitation of football fields in Jamaica.
Minister Grange says Mr. Murray had so much more to contribute. She says she hopes that those involved in his murder will be found swiftly and brought to justice.
Minister Grange says she’s praying for Mr. Murray’s family and loved ones at this time. She says Jamaica has lost a true son of the soil who was very passionate about his country.
