At least three business owners in St. James are welcoming the State of Public Emergency in the parish.
Owner of Pier One in Montego Bay, Robert Russell, says while the midnight curfew will affect his business, the move will bring long-term stability.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced the State of Public Emergency in St. James last Thursday.
Its’ resulted in increased military and police presence in the parish and a partial suspension of some rights in order to cauterize rampant criminality.
