A wanted man is among 30-people arrested in St. James on Saturday.
In a statement yesterday from the Constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit, CCU, the police say three people were also charged following operations in Bogue Hill in the parish.
The wanted man is among those charged. He’s Sean Headley, otherwise called ‘Tall Man’.
Headley was wanted for rape by the St. James branch of the Constabulary’s Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, CISOCA. He was also wanted for absconding bail.
Also arrested are 22-year-old Dennis Brown, also called ‘Bobby’, and 29-year-old Orane Smith, also called ‘Bond’.
Both were charged for possession of identity information relating to the lottery scam.
Reports from the CCU are that the men were captured during a special operation carried out by the Area One Police in Bogue Hill, St. James on the weekend.
In addition to the 30 arrests, 20 abandoned premises were searched where more than 2000 lead sheets associated with the lottery scam were seized.
St. James has been under a State of Public Emergency since January 18 this year.
