One of St. James’ most wanted men turned himself in yesterday, and has been charged with two counts of murder.
He is 27-year-old Kirk Stevens otherwise called ‘Wanka’ or ‘Shattam’, a music producer of Flanker in St. James.
The charges were laid after Stevens reported to the Police about 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning accompanied by his lawyer.
In a statement last evening, the police say, to date, two persons from the St. James Most Wanted list, which was published by the JCF in January 2017, have surrendered peacefully and are in custody.
Meanwhile, the police have listed eight more people, including one woman, who are wanted for various offences in St. James.
The police are urging them to turn themselves in before mid-day today.
The list includes Christopher Boyd, otherwise called Plank, and Kiran Gowe who are alleged to be connected with a killing and shooting near the Sangster International Airport last month.
Reports are that four men opened fire on a group of men and a child at a car rental on Sunset Boulevard on January 16.
One of the three men was fatally shot.
Also on the list is 21-year-old Tajay Dixon and Fiona Williams from Lilliput, St. James. Both are wanted for shooting with intent on February 2.
A 42-year-old construction worker, Christopher Taylor, from Green Heights Meadows is also wanted for indecent assault.
A 25-year-old farmer from Tangle River in the parish is wanted for questioning for sexual assault.
Two relatives, Timoy and Leon Spence, both from Tucker in St. James are wanted for the fatal shooting of a man on January 31. Police say they were involved in a dispute with the deceased.
